We need to say a HUGE SPLASHING THANK YOU to Aquatots! As most of you know, Sebastian was very ill before his first birthday. Aquatots found out about him and offered him swimming lessons from 18months old. His first teacher was Ultan who first met a very scared baby, frightened of anyone coming near him - not a great start for baby swimming lessons! He continued to make a bond with Sebastian and very shortly, Ultan was throwing him in the air and pushing him under the water! When the time came to move up classes, we were all sad and Sebastian wasn't sure he wanted to continue - and then he met Angee!!! She got on his whacky wavelength during the first lesson and he nearly laughed his trunks off! So, thank you Aquatots for making such wonderful childhood experiences and memories and for giving Sebastian and me time together to just have fun.

Sebastian did it! His swim took him just under 3 hours and he was delighted to have some of his many supporters at the pool - especially Tania and India who brought lots of sweets and amazing balloons! Big thanks to Mr P who was too lazy to get in the pool but sent his only son in instead - well done Thomas! Of course, Theo, Oscar and Xavier joined in and cheered him on. He did feel really sick after 1000m but he kept going and after 2000m, he was in his stride and swam his best 1000. Sebastian is so delighted that he has now raised over £500 - THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping a little boy give a little back to those who cherished his beautiful friend, Kara. He KNOWS he made a difference and that is a gift you have all managed to contribute to which will stay with him forever. We can all make a difference and what seems small to us is massive to another: you have all made a MASSIVE difference to Sebastian, thank you. From Sebastian: thank you everyone for sponsoring me. Kara was special and I am glad I have done something special to help.

Sebastian's second front tooth fell out yesterday!! He is now considerably lighter - like my purse - and is fighting fit. He says a massive THANK YOU to all of you for your support - he is absolutely delighted.

Sebastian is taking his training extremely seriously, following a diet of food and chocolate. He is also practising his vocals as he likes to sing under the water to while away the hours. He is hoping that by the time he does his big swim, he will be a lot lighter - at least one tooth should've fallen out and he may fit in a trip to the barber's.... It's now just a week away. Training was full on yesterday with several treat bars eaten last night after they were kindly donated. Unfortunately, after much effort and rigorous twisting and pulling, Sebastian failed to lose weight - his tooth is still in place. However, seeing that folk have actually sponsored him, makes him so happy and excited - he can't believe it! It will be tough for him - any tips on how to keep him going energy-wise, please let me know...glucose tablets will be bought after a friend's advice...any more advice please?
